PhD Students
1. Who Can Apply?
- Highly motivated students with a background in: human factors/human-computer interaction/computer science/industrial engineering/cognitive science or a related field (holding a degree in such fields is preferred)
- Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 (or the equivalent depending on the scale)
- Knowledge in basic statistical analyses

2. Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with python
- Experience with R
- Experience in Machine Learning, building AI models

Undergraduate and MS Students
1. Who Can Apply?
- Students interested in conducting research projects in human factors, human-computer interaction, user experience
- Students interested in gaining experience with emerging and/or intelligent technologies (AI, autonomous vehicles, etc.)
- Students who want to actively participate in and learn from lab projects beyond their regular coursework
- Students available for at least two quarters (Fall - Winter, Winter - Spring, etc.)
2. Tasks
- Assist in human-subjects experiment/user study design, data collection, analysis, paper writing
- Hours are negotiable
3. Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or completed coursework related to human factors (e.g., IE 366)
- Strong academic record
- Interest in pursuing graduate studies
